Bill Bartling is a Co-founder and Director of Regulatory Affairs at Geo2Watts. Bill was appointed by Governor Brown as Chief Deputy for CalGEM, California’s oil, gas, and geothermal regulatory agency. Bill previously served as General Manager of Borehole Imaging for OptaSense Ltd; President and CEO of SR2020; Sr. Director of Market Strategy at Silicon Graphics Inc; CEO of SciFrame, Inc; Mgr. of Technical Computing at Occidental Petroleum; Sr. VP of Software Eng. at CogniSeis Development; and Earth Scientist/Manager in exploration, production and research at Chevron. Bill has a BA in Biology from UCSB and MS in Geology from San Diego State, is VP of SEG Pac. Section, is on the Advisory Board of the SDSU Center for Computational Sciences and is a member of SPE, AAPG and SEG.
David D’Souza is an Advisor at Geo2Watts. He is a postdoctoral researcher and engineer in the Energy Engineering Unit of the UNED (National University of Distance Education) in Madrid, Spain on European research projects related to the development and deployment of novel solar thermal, thermal energy storage, and heat pump systems for industrial heating and cooling processes and power generation. David's doctoral research was conducted at IMDEA Energy (Madrid) and proposed and analyzed next-generation high-temperature solar thermal receivers using compact heat exchanger technologies. His PhD Thesis won the Cum Laude distinction and Santander Award for Scientific Research excellence. David is experienced in the design and analysis of renewable energy and hybrid technologies, from component to system level. He has R&D expertise in the development of novel and innovative solutions from concept to real-world deployment.
Ken Murray is co-founder and Director of Engineering and Innovation at Geo2Watts. Ken has a multi-dimensional career spanning over 40 years in engineering, research, development, management, and intellectual property legal practice with major corporations, government laboratories and agencies, academic institutions, defense industry contractors, communications and technology startups, and alternative energy companies. Ken was a founder of 6 companies. For the past two and a half decades, Ken has focused on services integrating law, technology, product development, market and business optimization, patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, technology licensing, export licensing, IP protection and commercialization. Ken holds a BSME from USC,a JD from UC Davis, and is a Registered Patent Attorney with the USPTO.
Phil Cruver is a Co-founder and CEO of Geo2Watts. Previously, he was the Founder and CEO of Catalina Sea Ranch, the first aquaculture facility in U.S. Federal waters developed six miles offshore California. Phil was also the founder of five additional start-up companies and recently served as Principal Investigator for over $1.2 million of Federally funded R&D projects. Phil founded International Dynergy, a publicly traded company that installed 500 wind turbine generators in Palm Springs, California that was syndicated with a 10% ITC. He also secured a 40 MW Power Purchase Agreement with SCE for the $50 million project.
